In a land prone to natural disasters, the added burden of political unrest and terrorism has overwhelmed the Pakistani government's ability to care for orphaned children. This region of Pakistan is also suffering from food shortages. The ones most affected from short supplies are the roaming and unaccompanied minors, the children who have been orphaned or abandoned because their parents cannot care for them.
Warm Blankets Orphan Care is there to help. The Kamas Mercy Home is one of 15 planned homes in Pakistan that will provide food, shelter and care for children orphaned by disaster and violence. Many of these children are survivors of families targeted by Muslim extremists because
of their faith. They are cared for and loved by widows who have themselves suffered loss.
Food scarcity is common in the region, but the children in this mercy home are experiencing something rare: food security. They trust their caregivers to provide for them and protect them. The children are able to go to sleep without fear for their safety; they can rest without worrying if they will be able to find something to eat the next day.
Maintaining the safety of these orphans is of utmost concern for us. Due to the extreme regional persecution, we are forced to limit the amount of information on the children, their caregivers and the home in which they live.
When you partner with Warm Blankets, you are helping to restore the childhoods traumatically torn from these children. Thank you for your faithful support.
