Victory

Home

The Victory Home is located in the southeast corner of the State of Andhra Pradesh in India.

Solomon, a 17-year-old boy with epilepsy, gained over 22 lbs during his first year at Victory Home, and went from two to four seizures a week to one seizure every four to six weeks. Children who are diagnosed with neurological disabilities are the most likely abandoned children in India, but since January of 2008, Victory Home has opened its arms to abandoned children with special needs.

Do you have a heart for children with disabilities? Here, each child is cared for in a way unique from the local institutions. The potential of each child is recognized at Victory Home and they are provided with everything they need, including love, a family environment, spiritual nurture, education,

medical care, and therapies.

Thirty-two children live at Victory Home and each child has been diagnosed with developmental disabilities and/or other neurological challenges. Four children are totally blind, and one has moderate hearing loss. All of them are absolutely delightful!

Solomon’s quality of life is so much better now, but he’s not the only child with a success story since coming to Victory Home. Each child came malnourished and anemic, and many with other severe challenges. Despite an eight hour trek into the city, caring for the children’s special medical needs has been priority. 31 surgeries were performed in the first half of 2009 alone.

Look at the worth of these children. Their brains and bodies may not work the same as ours, but their spirits are just as alive as ours. Without Victory Home, these kids would have been left abandoned or institutionalized. Will you embrace this family of special children and care for them? When you help sustain Victory Home, you are bringing the hope and love to these children that they so desperately need.
