Church Orphan Home

The Stafford Center is located in Kadiago province, not far from Ouagadougu, the country capital.

Burkina Faso, which means “Land of Honorable People”, is a landlocked nation in West Africa. Burkina attained full independence from French colonial rule in 1960. After repeated military coups and a couple decades, it stabilized as a Republic.

Although rich with tradition of African music, arts and crafts, Burkina Faso is financially one of the poorest countries in the world and one of the most illiterate. Most people there are Muslim or practice some form of animism. Christians make up approximately 10 % of the population.

Children without parents typically end up doing exploitative, dangerous work to survive. In a country where the poverty level runs high and the literacy

rate is extremely low, education is not considered a priority. And, so, the cycle of hardship continues.
Stafford Center Church Orphan Home offers kids a chance to start a new life with hope and a brighter future. The home not only provides them a restored childhood, but also the chance to know God’s love and to grow into leaders who bring hope to their community. Will you help?
