Church Orphan Home

This home is scheduled to open soon this year and is located in the town of Bendogo, in the central Burkina Faso province of Kadiogo.

Burkina Faso, formerly Upper Volta, is a landlocked nation in West Africa. It is surrounded by six countries: Mali to the north, Niger to the east, Benin to the south east, Togo and Ghana to the south, and Côte d'Ivoire to the south west.

Previously administered as one of French colonies, Burkina attained full independence in 1960. After few military coups over next couple decades it stabilized as a Republic divided into 13 regions and 45 provinces.

With peneplain on the north-east and majestic sandstone massif on the south west Burkina Faso is excellent destination for anyone interested in seeing beautiful West African country and exploring African culture and

music.

Colorful in its well known tradition of African music and arts and crafts, Burkina is also ranked one of the poorest countries in the world and also most illiterate, and with it a stronghold of primitive and sometimes cruel religion traditions of animism.

It is not easy to be orphan in situation like this. When you lose your immediate family – your extended, struggling with raging poverty, is not very forthcoming with help. With barely 15% of population literate, education, although free on elementary level, is still not a popular way to built into your future.
